Word Received, Footnote has released new Records

Since Marti Lewis gave a great talk on records for War Veterans I thought this was a good thing to pass on to those looking for more data regarding colored troops and Union and Confederate Troops.

If anyone wants the link or wants to see or hear what they have contact me since I do not know if I can copy paste to this page the data they are advertising.

14 types of Colored Troops Units

Also using the Popular Collection there are:
8 more types of files including, Dawes Packets, Missing Air Crew Reports, and FBI Case Files.

It does say I can send to a friend so I can forward to you.

Footnote.com is the url and it is a paid site.

Those who care nothing about their ancestors will rarely achieve anything worthy of being remembered by their descendents . . .

I am researching the surnames - Brown, Grant, Grice, Hamilton Hearn/Hearne Horn/Horne, Lusk, Moore, Newbill, Patterson, Paxson, Peterson, Potter, Pryor, Shipp, Thomas, Vaughn, Wilks/Wilkes, Williams, Wingate.

The New Year has Begun!

First a note to say I have been to Mom's then home then back to attend her memorial end of January 2011.
Brain is getting better and body also. I missed a few events along the way but it could not be helped.

I got this in the mail the other day and thought you should all be aware of it.
Go to this link and read about what Chicago is preparing to do to 161 year old cemetery.
To bad those people can not get up and haunt them all.

Nothing is sacred in USA any more. Worse for it to be Illinois that is doing this because I have much kin buried in Illinois.

St. Johannes Cemetery has been condemned and can remove the remains. 30 graves have already been removed.

St. John's United Church of Christ owns the cemetery.
